Ol Danny is driving around in a green 97-99 Toyota Camry
Just like the one I used to own
Movie was REALLY GOOD, btw. If you were a fan of the Shining movie, or of the Doctor Sleep book. It did a good job meshing the two.

Reviews are great... the box office is going to disappoint, but I’ve read several very positive reviews and the original is on My All Time Fave list so I guess I’m going.
Redrum, redrum...

Its a shame it bombed, there were plans for 1 or 2 more Shining movies - a prequel centering around Dick Halloran as a younger man and another prequel, the one I really wanted to see, based on Stephen King’s original preface to the novel dealing with the early history of the Overlook in the early 20th century. Both of those are most likely dead forever now.

I’ve always felt like horror movies are best watched at home, I’ve never seen one at a theater though.

If it's something I really want to see, I don't have the patience to wait for home release. Same reason I'd still rather buy things in-store than online, whenever possible.

I don’t understand why it bombed.... seems to be a theme with King’s adaptations lately, except for IT.

Ive seen people blame the run time, parents not being able to get babysitters, and younger people not recognizing the Shining (which I don't buy, it gets rerun constantly during October, you'd have to go out of your way to not be familiar with it).
